Broken Color Techniques

The use of broken color on walls or kitchen cabnits adds an interesting dimension to any decor.  There are any number of ways and materials used to break up the color surface through additive or subtractive techniques.  The imagination is the limit. Common techniques include variations of sponging, ragging, bagging, combing, dry brushing, color washing, and many others.  These sorts of techniques require careful use of color values and color harmonies.  A sample board should be completed and approved prior to the beginning of the project.
